Kylie Rook is Studio Red’s Yoga Director and lead teacher.
The studio’s classes, schedule and special events are all curated under Kylie’s expert lens.
Kylie has more than a thousand hours of training and almost 20 years of personal practice under her belt. Her experience is evident in her classes, the workshops she leads, and in each grain of knowledge she shares from the mat.
With a teaching style totally her own, Kylie understands the body from a western perspective and fuses that with the tradition of yoga to enhance the lives of her students.
Her classes bring an intelligent understanding of anatomy, physiology and the human condition paired with classical yogic philosophy and Chinese Medicine.
Kylie’s resume reads like a list of the world’s preeminent yoga teachers and training schools. Her teaching is shaped by more than 500 hours of study with Yoga Medicine, a select group of teachers who are trained to understand in detail the function of the human body. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Dance and has graduated from more than 20 individual yoga trainings.
Devoted to making yoga accessible for everyone, Kylie works with students of all levels including those with injury, illness and anxiety. A self-confessed handstand enthusiast, she’s equally at home supporting students on the journey to advanced yoga postures and inversions.
Kylie leads Studio Red with a genuine warmth and an enthusiasm for yoga that will inspire you to return to your mat time and time again.
