Hailing from the sandy shores of Waiheke Island, Buster first discovered yoga at the tender age of 17, passing through Bali amidst one of his many overseas escapades.
A seasoned traveller and well accomplished folk/soul musician, he has possessed an innate curiosity for life and self discovery since an early age. It didn’t take long for him to develop and deepen his own practice, and he accredits yoga with guiding him through heavy bouts of anxiety and depression whilst braving the cold winter months during his time based in Wellington and Melbourne.
He returned to Bali in 2018 to train at The Practice, Canggu in both yin yoga and traditional tantric hatha. He regularly makes a habit of fusing his two passions, and has spent the last three years co-creating live music serenaded yin classes with an array of internationally renowned teachers at festivals and studios across Aotearoa, Australia and Bali.
It is not uncommon to receive a brief savasana serenade in his own yin classes.
Through the avenue of teaching yoga and meditation Buster’s primary drive is to create space, and in doing so extend an invitation to turn inwards and explore our own unique inner landscapes.
"Having spent much of my post-schooling life travelling, it is hard for me to pinpoint a specific geographical location and call it home. To be blessed with the ability to come home no matter where in the world I may be is absolutely invaluable, and that's what yoga is to me - the ability to come home to one’s self."
