Anamari Fanthorpe
Anamari believes that care is collective, positivity is contagious, and that we need to be the world we want to see. As Studio Red’s Studio Manager, Anamari spreads her message by coordinating collaborations, events, and classes designed to create opportunities for personal growth.
Anamari has spent the last 14 years working in communities building programmes and promoting wellness. During her time in Australia, she was recognised by the Samantha Wills Foundation for being an inspiring female entrepreneur. She created a wellness initiative programme that was adopted by schools across the Hunter Region of NSW. Additionally, Anamari has developed and facilitated programmes, with up to 250 people, for two city councils and major organisations such as Apple, Google, and Samsung. After classes students often remarked at the inclusiveness of her style. Her experience is across all education levels and the corporate sector. Having previously been the Operation Manager and Owner of Ashtanga Yoga Newcastle she organised both international and domestic retreats, and proudly helped build a supportive community that continues to thrive today.
Anamari has practiced yoga for over 20 years and has found it to be a staple in her life. She believes that the practice allows a person to respond instead of reacting to the trials and tribulations of life. Being an avid traveller, she has studied under numerous world-renowned teachers including Sharath Jois, Eileen Hall, David Swenson, Richard Freeman, and many more. Anamari’s teaching style has always come from the heart. She prides herself on being able to provide classes with equity and access for all who attend. Her style sequences simple postures, coordinating breath and movement.
Anamari is an avid potter, artist, communicator, and loves helping others see their potential.
Anamari’s hope is to see the light turn on behind another’s eyes, for her smile to cause others to smile, and for someone to recognise and revel in what she sees, their inner beauty.
