Amy has been practising, studying and teaching yoga since 2000. Throughout her years of personal practice and teaching experience, she's gained invaluable tools to help people like you find your way into yoga poses and out of your head. Amy's classes blend stretching, strengthening and stabilisation exercises, pushing you to your edge while giving options so that EVERY BODY (no matter your shape, size, age or ability) can find the "sweet spot" in each pose. Using her background in Pilates and Foundation Training (a postural improvement programme), her focus is on enhancing functional range of motion for everyday living.
Former studio owner and lead teacher of Mind Body Movement in Whakatane, Amy has recently moved up to Auckland to explore new opportunities. Named 'Mind Body Instructor of the Year' in 2017 (NZ Exercise Industry Awards), Amy also leads yoga retreats in New Zealand and abroad and is a Guest Facilitator for yoga teacher trainings.
