Fascial Fitness and Flow
Time : 11:00 AM
Fascia. What is it and how can knowing about it affect your yoga practice? Join senior yoga teacher Rachel Land for a 3 hour workshop to deepen your understanding of this all-encompassing web of connective tissue that connects and delineates every part of our body.
Healthy fascia makes us stronger, more supple and more stable; unhealthy fascia can restrict free movement, reduce our strength and stability, and even create pain. We all know how to build cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength, but how do we build more resilient fascia?
Through a mixture of brief lectures and various practice styles, you’ll learn six ways to support fascial health, and how to Flow, Float, Hold and Melt to strengthen the four types of receptors in your fascia.
This workshop is open to anyone who wants to better understand how a healthy body functions; no previous yoga experience is required.
